ABOUT ME

Priscilla Mido

Is a strategic planning and project manager specialist from London, United Kingdom. With a Master’s degree in management, leadership, and change, I aim to develop a personal development initiative for women to become their best version of themselves. I started this initiative because I have a strong innate desire to see a world where female voices is heard and appreciated just as the male in leadership positions. I aim to use my knowledge as a personal development strategist, to make women realize their full potential, and break the glass ceiling in corporate leadership.

In the Western world, an inequitable 90% of organizations are male-dominated, and the gender differences in the workplace are profound, majorly due to gender biases. In a nuanced way, the barriers are interrelated, reinforcing each other and further exacerbating women’s disadvantaged position.

My story is one of grit in a vastly male-dominated sphere. Regardless of my increased conscientiousness, I seem to see and interact with fewer and fewer women with my dedication in many positions of power. It’s not those women who do not wish to be there, but in the grand scheme of responsibilities and tasks, it seems that women are more productive than men. I have worked on projects around Europe and Africa as a personal advisor in risk management, construction and health care I have observed that women are in a position where they must juggle between taking care of their homes, maintaining social interactions, and working on their careers. It wouldn’t be discriminatory if I suggested that men do not share such a burden. However, it is discriminating to state that I have seen fewer women in leadership roles. I’m more motivated now than ever to champion women’s equality.

Women in positions of power should be on the rise as women possess natural qualities that the fifth industrial revolution desperately needs. For instance, as naturally more emotional than men, women have community-driven ideas. Investing in women has a higher probability that resources will flow into the benefit of the community. Hence more productive and sustainable activities by aid organizations or any corporate social responsibility endeavor. The detriment is unfathomable if you imagine the consequences of an AI product that lacks that programming for oppressed voices. It can also be noted that women are better at ethical decision-making. The invaluable contribution of moral decision-making to society is multifaceted, such as environmentally friendly cloud computing in which female participation is crucial.
